The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission  (IEBC) has said that it was expecting to receive another consignment of 10,080 of Kenya integrated elections management  system kits (KIEMS).

The IEBC had some other 24,920 kits therefore taking the total to 35000.

The commission's chairman Wafula Chebukati said the body was ready to deliver fair and credible results after the addition of the extra kits which they were expecting.

The body also ordered aspirants who were not satisfied with the party primaries which were held late in April to file their cases with the political parties dispute tribunal by the end of Monday.

The IEBC management team on Sunday was working on the last minute logistics to make sure that the upcoming elections results will be credible.

The estimated number of expected candidates to vie for different post is 16000, eight of them contesting for presidency.

The body also gave the green light for all the candidates to start campaigning for the different posts that they will be vying for.
