Happy couples are couples that consciously or unconsciously do things that would make the relationship grow on a daily basis. With happy couples, there is a sustained effort to do the right thing. Whereas, unhappy couples consciously or unconsciously do things that would harm the relationship regularly. This is a big difference between a happy couple and an unhappy one.
So what do happy couples do daily that keeps the relationship happier?
1. THEY APPRECIATE EACH OTHER
There is no such thing as a little thing as far as relationships are concerned. Little things are either what makes a relationship happy or sad. Appreciation is a vital trait that shouldn’t be taken for granted. Happy couples appreciate each other even for the little things done, and this would even push each other to do more. Appreciation shows value.
2. THEY DON’T TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED
Nonchalance is one habit that destroys a relationship on the long run. Happy couples never take things in the relationship for granted; their happiness is intertwined in each other; so every conversation, every complaint, everything that borders around the relationship matters to them, and isn’t taken for granted.
3. THEY COMMUNICATE
Communication is very important for a relationship to be successful. Simply put, any relationship where communication doesn’t exist is an unhappy one. Discussing about your daily activities with your partner is a form of communication, and this can help bond couples even more.
Listening to each other, talking about things, having regular conversations would help the relationship in many ways: it would boost understanding, increase the bond in the relationship and make couples fond of each other.
4. THEY DO THINGS TOGETHER
This is also another secret of happy relationships. Doing things together with your partner promotes unity, understanding and friendship; when these three things exist in a relationship, it would definitely be a happy one. Cook together, do chores together, watch a movie or do something fun together, and your relationship would grow with this.
5. THEY HAVE A ‘WE TIME’
Couples that tend to create time for each other every day, no matter their busy schedules are usually happy with each other. A ‘we time’ could be for movies, a date or just having plain conversations with each other — it could be anything, as far as couples have time for each other.
6. THEY DOLE OUT COMPLIMENTS
This is also another trait of happy couples and happy relationships. When your partner cooks a nice meal, compliment it; when your partner looks good, compliment the good looks. With these, happiness would just keep buzzing in the relationship. Everyone loves a compliment, and happy couples aren’t stingy with their compliments.
7. THEY MAINTAIN THE INTIMACY
Maintaining intimacy in your relationship is very important, and couples who can achieve this are usually happy together. Kissing, hugging, saying how much you love each other, cuddling, PDA, sex are all intimate things to do in a relationship, and happy couples make time for virtually most of these.
8. THEY SPOIL EACH OTHER
Taking time out to spoil your partner, either with a gift, a treat or just anything would definitely make your relationship a happy one.
9. THEY DON’T NAG UNNECESSARILY
This is also another thing that makes a relationship a happy one. Nagging and constant complaining makes quarrelling and grudges a part of a relationship, and when such negative traits exist in a relationship, there is no way it can be a happy one. Happy couples don’t nag unnecessarily.
These traits are common in happy relationships, and they do these things regularly, and this is what makes them different from unhappy couples.
