The love for ODM party leader Raila Odinga is usually “godly” by several Kenyans regardless of their social stratification.

Some use it as a political survival tactic as is the case with Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga. He rubbished the State House visits that have been used to label him as a Jubilee mole and vowed only to visit the House of Power when Raila Odinga is the occupant. The allegations were made by Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo who also lamented about planned rigging by Rasanga.

“Somebody is peddling lies, saying that I was spotted in State House. I want to categorically state that I have only gone to State House twice, (both times) in the presence of the other 46 Governors. Never, never before have I visited State House. I am only waiting to visit State House when Raila Odinga occupies it,” said Rasanga.

The governor said he has only been to Uhuru’s official residence twice and in the company of his fellow governors. The Gem MP had stated that Rasanga was planning to sale Yala Swamp to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto. The outspoken MP had also revealed a planned rigging which the governor refused.

“Jakoyo’s rigging allegations are false! If he is imagining that I can organize rigging, I am sorry. I have been campaigning throughout the county,” Rasanga said.
