Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has told MCAs to set laws that will see growth and development in the county

Kinyanjui said his administration plans to revive the dwindling pyrethrum sector which is the county's economic farming and that can only be achieved if MCAs cooperate in their oversight and legislative roles.

According the governor,  pyrethrum sector has a potential to provide employment opportunities to locals.

He urged county assembly and the executive to coordinate towards revamping the sector for better livelihoods of the county residents.

He invited the assembly to constitute a proactive and assertive agricultural committee that will be invaluable in guiding the executive’s vision for a sustainable and rewarding pyrethrum sector for the county`s less than 1,000 farmers.

Nakuru county in the past was well known for its commanding lead in pyrethrum production countrywide.
