Questions are being raised, a day after the National Super Alliance (Nasa) endorsed a Jubilee Party candidate, for the Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial race.

During campaigns in Eldoret, Nasa leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto declared their support for incumbent governor Jackson Mandago, over his rival, Independent Candidate Bundotich Buzeki, Monday.

However, Turbo MP Jubilee Party candidate, Kevin Okwara has demanded that Mandago should come out clear and explain why he allowed Nasa to endorse him, in his county, without sending any message to counter them, few moments after the declaration.

Okwara who wants to unseat Elijah Busienei, in the constituency which is Jubilee Party deputy leader William Ruto's home, condemned Nasa, saying it did something wrong, by interfering with Jubilee politics.

"Why would Mandago be the first Jubilee governor to be endorsed by Nasa, few days to elections? We need answers to this. Why would Nasa come all the way to Eldoret to endorse him? People may think he has been working with the Opposition," said Okwara.

Speaking during a live television interview from Eldoret, Okwara who is the first Luhya politician to get Jubilee ticket in Uasin Gishu county, said the region is a Jubilee stronghold, and so there must be a reason as to why Nasa endorsed Mandago.

He said Jubilee supporters on ground were confused, over who to vote for, and if Mandago has secretly been dining with Nasa.

He further defended Ruto, saying he has not been favouring Independent candidates, but has been calling fro election of all Jubilee candidates.
