'Salome' hitmaker Diamond Platnumz has revealed that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho called him to find out what was transpiring in his marriage.

The Tanzanian singer said that a number of friends from different parts of the continent including Joho, P-square and Fally Ipupa among others contacted him after rumors started doing rounds that he had broken up with Zari, The Boss lady.

The singer posted: "Alinipigia simu Mpaka Fally, akanipigia Peter wa P-square. Tuliongea na yeye kama dakika kumi. Nilipigiwa simu na watu tofauti tofauti wengine kutoka hapa, akanipigia mpaka Joho.”

Joho enjoys cordial relationships with a number of artists from all over the globe.

Diamond has been experiencing one of the most difficult times in his career.

The singer has hit the headlines following the death of Zari’s ex husband, Ugandan tycoon Ivan Ssemwanga. During the burial of Ivan, Diamond had promised to attend the function but he did not.

A photo of Zari with a man whom he identified as a relative to the deceased’s ex husband almost ruined the marriage of the two celebrities.
