The Jubilee Party launched its manifesto on Monday evening, with key points on what they intedn to deliver to Kenyans if and when elected.

During the colourful event that was hosted at the Kasarani Stadium, key cabinet secretaries were given the opportunity to present points on what the government, through the ministries had achieved, and plans they have put in place to achieve more.

Some of the key points during the launch included; creating of new jobs, free secondary school education, expanded health care and social welfare system.

According to the government, they intend to create over 6.5 million new jobs in five years, expand free maternity care, and double the fertiliser subsidy initiative at less than Sh1,500, to reduce the cost to farmers.

If re-elected, the president promised to connect all Kenyans to the electricity grid within the first three year.

“Jubilee government has already delivered improved security, economic stability and jobs. We have expanded access to affordable health care and modernised public services. But we now need to redouble our efforts to build upon the foundations of success. The task is not yet complete. The work must continue and should not be derailed,” Uhuru said.

Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto have pegged their campaigns on continuity of their projects, and were equally reflected in their manifesto.

Under the Jubilee party manifesto, Uhuru and Ruto say they will create 1.3 million jobs every year and work with governors to establish at least one industry in every county as their number one promise.

The manifesto further highlights the importance of education in the country, with plans to expand free primary education programme and to include free day public secondary schools in the country.

Under the education programme, the Jubilee manifesto further pointed out on the doubling of funds available for Higher Education Loans Board, to provide more loans and bursaries for TVET and university students.

Another undertaking by Jubilee if it wins back power in August 8 polls will be to complete 57-large-scale dam construction programme, support small-holder agricultural irrigation and work with the private sector to enhance food and agricultural production on at least 1.2 million acres.
