Franklin Bett chairperson of AFC board gave credit to the late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery who raised the issue of loan waivers.

"I approached the president with the matter and he agreed to write off the debts," said Bett.

"The agreement was that the government gives back every shilling owed, such that if a farmer owed Sh100, the government would pay," he added.

The event held at the AFC offices in Kajiado town enabled many farmers from different parts of Kajiado to receive their title deeds back.
