The former Vice President said the opposition will not tolerate such mischief and will continue to expose all plans Jubilee is putting in place to rig the election.

He spoke in Wajir on Wednesday where he had gone to popularize the National Super Alliance that seeks to take on President Uhuru Kenyatta during the polls.

"We had gotten information that through the Registrar of Persons, there is a plan to rig this election and that Jubilee already has one million votes through this kind rigging."

During the tour, it emerged that Kalonzo's Identity Card had been used to register a female voter in Wajir.

The revelation caused a stir on social media as Kenyans accused the IEBC of abating election rigging.

He was in company of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula who said: "The rigging of elections is not a one-day event. It is not done on polling day, it is a process. Systems are set such as the one we have seen here in Wajir and they are perfected so that by the time we go to the actual polling day, the fate is complete."

After Kalonzo's revelation of double voter registration, the government and the IEBC came out in defense saying the allegation were untrue.

The IEBC said the issue may have resulted from data entry errors at the point of registration or genuine sharing of ID numbers.

The Interior Ministry, through its Spokesperson Mwenda Njoka said the National Registration Bureau has no record of any person with the same number as the Wiper leader's.

"We wish to make it unequivocally clear that the bureau has absolutely nothing to do with the registration of voters and only registers and issues Kenyans with IDs," Mr Njoka said.
