Wiper Party deputy leader Shakila Abdalla has rubbished claims by a section of Jubilee politicians that NASA is allegedly plotting for violence and civil war through street demonstrations.

Shakila says that the claims by a section of Jubilee politicians are unfounded and meant to instil fear among Kenyans.

Speaking to Journalists in Lamu Town on Thursday, the former Lamu Woman Representative said that NASA is committed to peace and does not support violence as being claimed by Jubilee.

Shakila said that NASA’s street demonstrations have been peaceful, adding that police are to blame for allegedly fueling the violence by attacking unarmed and peaceful protesters.

“It is ridiculous for Jubilee to start claiming that we (NASA) are planning civil war and their malicious claim will not stop us from pushing for the electoral reforms,” she told journalists.

The former Woman Rep said that NASA’s quest for reforms is unstoppable adding that they will push for reforms at all coast.

Shakila alleged that Jubilee and IEBC have never been willing to dialogue on election reforms a move she said led to NASA leader Raila Odinga’s withdrawal from the October 26 repeat poll.

The former Woman rep asked the IEBC to call off the repeat October 26 presidential poll saying it will not be legitimate if it’s done within the confines of the law as ordered by the Supreme Court.

The Wiper deputy leader said that they will push for peace and unity as they also push for electoral reforms.

She urged Kenyans to remain peaceful and united despite the political challenges facing the country.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga withdrew from the repeat poll last week claiming that the election result was predetermined in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

NASA leaders have been on the receiving end of a section of Jubilee politicians accusing them of planning to plunge the country into chaos with their ‘No Reforms No election street demonstrations.

The opposition has called for countrywide demonstrations on Thursday next week, the date set aside for repeat presidential election maintaining that there will be no election.
