Photo/KNAThe family of a three-year-old boy who sustained severe burns in a fire tragedy is appealing for assistance from well-wishers to offset medical bill.Master Abraham Pesa’s home caught fire last month after a kerosene lamp set the house ablaze in the sprawling Kaptembwa slums in Nakuru Town.The boy's father, John Pesa, a casual laborer, said his son had been undergoing specialized treatment at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital Nakuru branch where the bill has accumulated to Sh280, 000.His eldest sister perished during the incident while his other sibling sustained superficial burns and was treated and discharged.He told KNA that his son had already been discharged and was only awaiting payment of the outstanding amount."I am in a serious financial crisis and I do not know what to do to settle this bill that is beyond my reach and affordability. We survive from hand to mouth and there is literally nothing to save even for NHIF medical scheme," Pesa said on Saturday at his home.Contributions can be channeled to Nairobi Women Hospital through Lipa Na M-pesa Business Number 504304, Account Name-Abraham.
