Kenya University Sports Association (KUSA) women championships have kicked off at the Moi University School of Law, Annex campus.

Annex is the main venue hosting most of the events including soccer, hockey, handball and volleyball while West campus hosts basketball and badminton as University of Eldoret hosts athletics, Saturday.The event which has attracted over 25 universities is held to celebrate the achievements madeby women in the society.According to the Local Organising Committee chairperson Tecla Sang, they are ready to host thegames.“Last month we had to postpone it due to the strike and we have now finalized everything for the event,” Sang, the Kenya's first female Olympian said.“Women have done great work in our society and we decided to team up with other globalinstitutions to mark the women's international day,” she added, Thursday.
