According to Maalim, the opposition will not partake in the elections if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) does not deal decisively with matters surrounding the voters register that have been raised by the opposition.

"As it is now i can tell that the elections are already rigged and without a credible process we as the opposition will not be willing to go for this elections," he said.

"The all idea is that they (Jubilee) have insisted on manual voting so that they can have a leeway to manipulate the voters register," he added.

Maalim called on the IEBC to clean the voters register for a free and fair election warning that without that there will be no elections in August.

"We are insisting that the voters register must be cleaned up, if not we will not have elections in August," said the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly
