Knut Secretary General Wilson Sossion has accused Education CS Fred Matiang’i for campaigning in schools.
He said that the CS was going against his own rules by being followed by politicians when he was visiting schools in the county.
“The CS is a public officer he should keep off politics and work for all the Kenyans at equal level,” said Mr Sossion.
On Monday, Dr Matiang’i toured a number of schools together with politicians affiliated to Jubilee Party and gave out cheques.
According to Mr Sossion it is wrong to hold political rallies in schools.
Echoing the sentiments, Kisii Kuppet chairman Osoro Okondo said that leaders affiliated to some political party were holding their campaigns in schools during school hours.
He said that this has happened for a period of more than two months.
“It is wrong for politicians in the company of the Education CS to hold rallies in schools this is affecting the normal running of the schools,” Mr Okondo said.
