Education and the acting Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i has urged Kenyans not to move from where they are current residence as August 8 polls beckons.

According to the CS, the government has put measures in place to ensure that there is sufficient security in all parts of the country before during and after elections.

“This country is ours no need to move from where people are living, we have no problem in this nation, let every individual remain where is living,” said Matiang’i.

“If anything happens anywhere as the government we have networks and we will move faster to save the situation,” he added.

Matiang’i vowed not to a shame Kisii community under his watch as and pledged to work to the limits.

“I come from Kisii community I promise I will work to the required standard I will not shame our community,” he insisted.

 Matiang’i was speaking during an interview on a local radio station Egesa Fm on Thursday.
