Famous Congolese singer Mbilia Bel is in the country for the much-anticipated concert tour dubbed Kenya Peace Tour.

Bel jetted into the country Monday evening in the company of three back-up singers, and was given a warm reception at the JKIA.

According to reports, four other singers will fly in tomorrow, Wednesday, from Kinshasa.

According to the Daily Nation, Bel will feature in a series of shows, with the highlight of her tour being a concert as part of the 57thanniversary celebrations of the Congolese Independence Day next Friday at The New Meladen Club in Upper Hill, Nairobi.

“I promise to give my Kenyan fans the best of both my old and new songs,” she said.

The songstress is known for her hit, ‘Nakei Nairobi’ (I am going to Nairobi), which she sang together with the legendary musician Tabu Leyin.

Nairobi-based singer General Defao will join Bel on stage during her tour, with local artistes including Kenge Kenge Orutu System known for their enticing percussions and folklore among those that will perform.
