Moi University will close down two of its satellite cumpuses in Eldoret town.

Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Laban Ayiro said this will reduce operation costs that are unbearable.

"The senate approved the closure of Kiptagich and Kips plaza Eldoret town campuses," he said in Eldoret town, Monday.

"The affected are school of tourism and hospitality. They will be moved to main and annex campuses respectively," he added.

He however said the school medicine and Health services will not be affected.

"The closure of the two will enable the university to continue providing quality education to all students by converging services at other campuses," noted Ayiro.

The Acting VC said the institution is poised to provide quality education by hiring additional lecturers.

"The university will hire more lecturers that will be deployed to various campuses so that they can offer quality teaching to students," said Ayiro.

Last year the university closed its Kericho and Nakuru campuses due to same reasons.
