Yamaha Kenya has today launched the new Crux Rev Motorbike in Nakuru. Today's event marks a new era for Yamaha Kenya which is a fully owned subsidiary of Toyota Kenya.

The New Crux Rev is designed with the African market in mind and seeks to offer a market specific product that is well suited for Kenya and the wider African continent.

The New Crux Rev was built in response to market and customer needs; and features a new fuel efficient engine with a range of 70km per litre resulting in a 20% reduction in fuel consumption.

As a manufacturer of quality vehicles and motorbikes, Toyota Kenya remains committed to its customers, ensuring that all products are not only safe and reliable but also economically viable and enable customers to reap the maximum benefit in their business ventures.

Yamaha is aware of the challenges facing customers, including the rough and rugged terrain within which they operate. To this end Yamaha has not only invested in boosting the suspension and comfort the new Crux Rev but also increased its ground clearance to enable both Boda Boda and Courier service providers operate in the most rugged terrain and reach remote areas.

As part of its efforts to promote road safety, the new Bike comes with additional measures to ensure safety beyond the two free helmets and reflector jackets. The diamond frame chassis makes for a more stable bike in turn making it safer.

"In addition to the bike features, in December last year Yamaha rolled out rider safety training under the Yamaha Riding Academy in partnership with the Kenya Police Service, NTSA and Boda Boda Saccos an program we intend to continue this year".  Said Augustine Juma, General Manager Yamaha.

Yamaha Kenya will also extend free clinics and undertake additional training for mechanics and riders on the maintenance and servicing of the bikes.

"Through this initiatives we at Yamaha Kenya hope to continue supporting our customers in not only getting training and capacity building but also access to financial support services such as asset financing and insurance". Added Juma.

"Ours is a commitment that goes beyond buyer and seller; and into partnership for the growth of your businesses while at the same time ensuring that all riders can get access to proper rider training and genuine licences to enable them not only operate legally and safely but also as profitable businesses" said Sachio Yotsukura, Vice Chairman Toyota Kenya.
