An MP has dismissed the National Super Alliance (NASA) terming it as a conglomeration of selfish leaders who are only after acquiring power.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa claimed that NASA was no able to propel the country forward in development, dubbing it a 'No Agenda Selfish Leaders Super Alliance'.

"NASA is just a coalition of selfish leaders with no agenda for this country. A National Super Alliance should be a powerful political outfit that can be able to move the country forward," he said.

"What we see is a 'No Agenda Selfish Leaders Super Alliance', it is basically a conglomeration of very selfish group of leaders who only want to attain political power and nothing else," he added.

Ichungwa also praised Kanu for realizing associating with NASA would lead them into being in the opposition after the August elections.

"It is not a surprise that Kanu joined Jubilee and declined the calls to join NASA," he said.

"For me it is a realization from the Kanu leadership that if you are a serious political party and you want to be in government then you cannot join that thing called NASA," he added.
