Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has called upon Nasa chief Raila Odinga's top advisers to apologise for misleading him.
The Elgeyo Marakwet senator through his official Facebook page on Tuesday made the remarks after supreme court upheld Uhuru Kenyatta's victory in the repeat presidential poll.
"To my colleagues in the legal profession who have been insulting me especially my former students, I forgive you. To all lawyers who lied to Baba, especially Senior Counsel that there will be no elections you owe Baba and the country a BIG apology," Murkomen said.In his post, the lawmaker was slamming Nasa supporters for misguiding their leader Raila Odinga on withdrawal from October 26 presidential repeat poll.Nasa pulled out of the race two weeks before the repeat poll claiming lack of reforms in the IEBC.The senator hit out at 'ignorant' lawmakers interrogating him on his credentials asserting that he is distinguished."I have been seeing some ignorant people asking about my court representation. A total show of ignorance of what is law and the legal profession. I have invested in the legal profession and I don't doubt my credentials," added Murkomen.He further told his counterparts in the field to avoid disrespect and offending their partners.
