Renowned political pundit Mutahi Nguyi claims that the opposition outfit NASA could be having an ‘informer’ within the IEBC who feeds them with regular information.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga confirmed in one of his press briefings of having an informer within the commission who regularly briefed him about rigging.
And on his Facebook, Nguyi says the informer could deal IEBC a ‘detriment’ should the person be in possession of vital information.
“NASA has a mole within the IEBC and the person could be a detriment if he or she is in possession of fundamental information.
“Raila confirmed that and if at all elections were rigged, things could backfire for Uhuru Kenyatta. They should have the mole to blame it on,” he says.
On Tuesday evening, IEBC commissioner Roselyne Akombe was reportedly arrested and detained at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport over unknown reasons.
She was flying to the US over what IEBC called ‘official duties’ and was reportedly rescued by the US embassy due to her dual citizenship privilege.
