While addressing youths in Kibira, Odinga said the move was aimed to prevent rigging in the August polls. "IEBC will announce their results, and we as Nasa will announce ours from our tallying center for comparison.” We will not accept fake results," Raila said.

The moves comes barely few day after Deputy President William Ruto said at a rally in Eldama-Ravine that the opposition sensed  defeat and want to assume the role of IEBC.

“Our friends should look for votes instead taking up IEBC's duty. They clearly lack policies to take the country forward,” Ruto said.

Just last week, NASA had declared to set up its own tallying center, saying it was the only way to prevent Jubilee from rigging the August elections.

Meanwhile, in statement by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati, only the commission is allowed to count, tally, collate, announce and declare the election results. “Other actors including political parties shall have access to the results within the framework established by the Commission,” said Wafula

He was responding to NASA insisting on setting up it own tallying center.
