Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has urged president Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to engage in talks to end the political stalemate facing the country.

Onyonka on Saturday said President Uhuru is surrounded by people with self-interest and have failed to give priority to the rest of Kenyans.

“Few people with selfish interests are misleading the president. Uhuru should know we need a change in the leadership of this country. Only talks can free the country from chaos and violence", he said.

He rubbished claims by a section of Jubilee politicians that in 2022 they will support DP Ruto for the presidency.

Onyonka said the country does not belong to two tribes.

“Kenya is big and it does not belong to few individuals. About 2022 politics, it is too early to start talking about who will become president," he noted.
