Tuesday morning seemed like the beginning of the mother of all demonstration call by opposition coalition NASA.

However, the police managed to disperse a group of NASA supporters who had gathered near the National Archives after they lobbed them with teargas.

Police said the group had congregated near Tom Mboya statue.

NASA is planing major demonstration as the nation draws closer to the Thursday repeat poll date.

More officers have been put on standby in the city and other parts of the country to monitor the planned demos.
