Coach Paul Nkata's reign at Bandari FC has not been an easy task as he may have expected, with the team struggling for form and consistency in the increasingly competitive Kenya Premier League.

Sunday's barren draw against KPL relegation-threatened Western Stima at the Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa, served as another reminder to the Ugandan tactician that he has a lot of work to do to take the side to the next level. The draw extended the Dockers' win-less run to four games with the team dropping to 8th on the log with 19 points with their league position only bettered by the goal difference.During his only season at Muhoroni Youth, the tactician led the sugar millers to a respectable 6th place finish at the end of the season. The then league giants Tusker FC came calling, an offer he did not turn down. He would later build a new Tusker team from the wreckage left following Francis Kimanzi's ill-fated reign, and led the Brewers to win their first league title in four years. However, his tenure at Bandari FC which he joined in November 2016 has been full of challenges as pressure continues to mount. The team's lack of goals has been the case of concern for the veteran coach with the forward line consisting of Dan Sserunkuma, Enoch Agwanda and Jacob Keli struggling in front of the goal. With only 10 days left before the closure of the transfer window, it should be a wake up call for Nkata to bolster his squad lest the ambitious Bandari board releases the trigger to terminate his contract.
