Kisumu County Executive Committee Member (CeC) nominee for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development is set to take an oath of office on Monday (today).

Dixon Obungu had his nomination ratified by the Kisumu County Assembly and will be sworn-in at Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o’s boardroom.

After his oath, Obungu will then join a league of other CeC’s who took the oath of office five months ago.

During the December oath ceremony that was presided over by  Kisumu Chief Magistrate Julius Ng'arngar, eight CeC’s were sworn-in;

Dr John Obiero in-charge of Education, Information and Communication and Human Resource Development, Alice Moraa for Business, Energy and Industry, Thomas Owiti for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Gilchrist Okuom for Agriculture, Livestock, food and fisheries.

Others include Salmon Orimba in charge of Environment, Water, Irrigation and Natural Resources, Richard Ogendo for Economic Planning and Development, Dr. Rosemary Obara for Health and Sanitation, Achie Alai for Tourism, Culture, Arts and Sports.
