Nyamira ODM leadership has come under severe attack following its delay to commence party campaigns across the region.
A team lead by Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire had been tasked to supervise campaigns in the vote rich region, which is now under threat from Jubilee party.
A conservative party supporter James Mokaya wonders why it has taken long for the party to initiate campaigns despite the spirited fight by the government.
“It is really worrying that nothing is happening at all despite Raila Odinga having selected the campaign team. This is hurting our chances,” he said.
However, an insider claims that rivalry between Governor John Nyagarama and Bosire has contributed significantly to the delay.
“Bosire does not support Nyagarama and both are in the campaign team. This is the reason behind all these fiasco,” said the source.
Efforts to get a clarification from Bosire were futile since he could neither respond to calls nor texts when contacted.
