[Photo: Courtesy]The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has mourned the death of 14 victims who perished in a boat tragedy.The deceased were among over 20 others who were sailing in the Indian Ocean from Lamu Island to Lamu East, before their boat capsized in the waters, Tuesday."We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims," said ODM Acting Secretary General Dr Agnes Zani.In a condolence message, she called on relevant institutions to help find the missing persons, and investigate the accident."We pray for fast recovery of the missing persons and ask that the relevant agencies get to the bottom of the cause of the tragedy," added Zani.
Nine deaths had been reported by Tuesday evening.President Uhuru Kenyatta and Lamu governor Issa Timamy also sent their condolence message and pledged their support to the families of the victims.
