ODM national treasurer Timothy Bosire said ODM will remain stronger ahead of the August general election.

Bosire (Kitutu Masaba, ODM) said the decision by Kisii Senator Chris Obure, Bomachoge-Borabu MP Simon Ogari and Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi to quit ODM will not in any way affect the political outfit.

"They gave no valid reasons for defection," he said as quoted by the Star.

"They just said they want to join government after visiting State House."

There has been a backlash back in Kisii against the defectors after they made the revelation that they were leaving the party which sponsored them during the 2013 general election.

Bosire said those who defected will be handed a resounding defeat during the August polls.
