Two General Service Unit officers who went missing last week after a shootout with bandits have been found dead with their bodies badly mutilated

Sources indicate that the officers were killed by pokot bandits after they tried to repulse an attack on a trader at Matweku village in Kamwenje. The bodies have since been airlifted to Nairobi.

Bodies of the officers were found at a home of a Pokot man in Kamur area, Baringo South. It is believed that that officers' guns were stolen and their uniforms stripped off.

Nyahururu OCPD Ezekiel Chepkwony confirmed that the two bodies were of the officer who went missing last week on thurday.

This brings to four the number of police officers murdered by Pokot militias since last Wednesday.
