The move by nominated senator, Elizabeth Ongoro, to ditch Orange Demoratic Movement (ODM) for Amani National Cogress (ANC) has been dismissed by political analyst Martin Andati.
According to Andati, the only chance left for Ongoro was to run as an Independent candidate.
"Ongoro's move to ANC because people will move to court to challenge her move and she will eventually be disqualified," He told KTN News, Friday.
"She can only run as an Independent candidate," he added.
Andati also noted the move to push her out of ODM was designed because the party favoured the candidature of the sitting Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang'.
"Parties usually have their preffered candidates, who either fund them or fight for them. Kajwang' must have been favoured on this grounds," he said.
