Five youths were arrested on Monday by the Nyamira police following a tip by members of the public for executing deadly robbery with violence for over months.
The five five youths were arrested at the Iranda area of Nyamira and survived mob lynch by whisker.
Nyamira OCPD Riko Ngare confirmed the incident and warned the youth against involving themselves in acts of robbery.
"We were tipped by members of the public and we launched a man-hunt. Police luckily managed to arrest all," he said.
He further said: "They will be arraigned in court on Wednesday and we shall charge them with robbery with violence."
The five, eye witnesses say, have been among the team that has been giving locals sleepless nights in the region.
