Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony at Cheplaskei on Tuesday, the President said this will help ease traffic that has been the order of the day in Eldoret town.
The by pass will pass through Kapsaret-Simat before connecting to Eldoret-Malaba highway at Maili Tisa."The construction of this by pass is a fulfillment of a promise the Jubilee government made to area residents," he said.The Sh5 billion project is funded by the African Development Bank (ADB).On his part the Deputy President William Ruto said, the Jubilee administration has constructed over 300 kilometers of road in Uasin Gishu County since 2013."We are constructing Rivatex-Simat, Drys-Naiberi,Eldoret-Kiplombe-Soy roads among others. We will ensure that all roads are tarmacked," added the deputy president.
