A section of residents in Ainabkoi Constituency have protested the move by the Jubilee Party National Elections Appeals Tribunal, to order for a repeat nominations in the area.

The tribunal on Monday upheld an appeal by the incumbent MP Samuel Chepkonga who was defeated by aspirant William Chepkut by 129 votes in the primaries.

While delivering the ruling, the tribunal ordered that nominations in one polling station Munyaka Primary School, only, be repeated.

Tuesday, some residents protested the decision, saying it was a plot to rig Chepkut out.

Chepkut who was a personal aide to the former the Kanu-era Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott, lost the to Chepkonga, in 2013.

“We voted and Chepkut won the game. We are not going to accept such decisions because they are not fair to us at all. They want to rig him out,” Daniel Koech, said.
