Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has told off Jubilee Party leaders over incitement claims levelled against the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Kidero said Raila has always preached peace and unity, and advised Jubilee Party leaders to focus on selling their manifesto and ideologies during their campaigns.

"Raila is a peace loving leader and he embraces all citizens. In his leadership, he has brought together all the 42 tribes and in all his political utterances he has always urged Kenyans to live in peace. Let them focus on selling their manifesto and ideologies," he said Saturday as quoted by the Nation.

On his part, ODM Makadara MP aspirant George Aladwa said all leaders must preach peace and refrain from making utterances that count incite Kenyans to violence.

He further warned JP leaders to desist from abusing his party leader, Raila, in their campaigns.

"I want to tell (Aden) Duale and other Jubilee leaders that we will not tolerate anyone abusing our leader. We will not allow other leaders to continue hulling insults at Raila. We should maintain peace during the campaign period," added the ODM Nairobi chairman.
