[Photo: Philip Etale]Raila Odinga was forced to cut shot his speech in Rarieda constituency, Siaya county, after a group of youth attacked his rally, disrupting its normal running.The angry youth, believed to be supporters of area MP Eng Nicholas Gumbo, could not continue listening to Odinga, the ODM party leader, when he called for a six piece votting pattern, in support of his party.According to Raila, any ODM candidate in his Luo Nyanza stronghold, including Siaya, should be voted in, in the August 8 polls.His utterances angered the youth, who support Gumbo, an independent Siaya gubernatorial candidate, who pulled out of ODM, after results of April primaries showed area governor Cornell Rasanga had emerged the winner.They demanded that all supporters of Raila and ODM leave the venue, with the rally ending prematurely, Monday.Raila was accompanied by Siaya senator James Orengo, Nasa co-principal Musalia Mudavadi, governor Rasanga, among other local ODM leaders.The presidential candidate later headed to Ugunja, where area MP ODM's Opiyo Wandayi hosted him, and later held a public rally in Siaya town.He further insisted that ODM must win all the seats in Luo Nyanza, where it dominates, politically.
