NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has vowed to expose cartels allegedly behind the controversial importation of maize from Mexico.
Citing the firing of William Ruto - the then Agriculture minister, Raila said his goal has always been to fight corruption to the end.
"I sacked Ruto for messing up with the maize issue," he said, adding that his orders were later reversed when President Mwai Kibaki reinstated Ruto.
"The maize which arrived in Kenya on May 12 was acquired in a fishy deal that puzzles the public," Raila said.
Raila was speaking in Rarieda during the burial of Gladys Onono, mother to nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro and Rarieda ODM nominee Otiende Amollo.
He said the opposition knows everyone behind the maize scam and that they are working to ensure the public is informed of the same.
