Reactions continue to come in from Nairobians after the Nairobi Speaker Beatrice Elachi rejected Governor Mike Sonko's nomination of lawyer Miguna Miguna to deputise him.
Most of those who commented thought that the governor did a big blunder in the nomination.
Ratego Chuor Mbolwa said: "Sonko is a joker and will remain a failure."
However, others thought it was a well-calculated move by Sonko to stay in power alone.
"Sonko knew that the only way to remain alone at the top of Nairobi was to pick someone the Assembly would reject. He is the biggest beneficiary of Elachi's ruling," said Aggrey Mbode.
Others said that it was good for Sonko himself, lauding the House for helping Nairobians.
"The ruling has saved Nairobi and their governor of trouble. Miguna is a drama queen and Sonko would not have contained him," said Agness Omolo.
Other registered divergent views:
"Hahaha. Shida ya kutoenda shule. Sonko hana akili pale," scoffed William Sultan.
"Hiyo hainisaidii. Unga bado nitanunua tu hata Miguna akirudi," said Angel Were.
