Police are currently investigating the disappearance of MCA candidate Patrick Kahari Mwangi

This comes after Kahari went missing last week after he reported being followed by unkown people the day before.

The candidate’s disappearance has left the family with a series of questions as to what may have happened to Kahari. He was last seen leaving the house on campaign business and efforts to reach him have been in vain.

The event has been linked to politics following reports from Kihara that he was being followed.

As a result fellow MCA candidates have been asked to cooperate and come forward to clear their names from involvement in the disappearance.

According to Murang’a police Commandant Naomi Ichami, the family reported Kahari’s disappearance a week after we went missing and that law enforcement are doing their best to find Kahari.

Ichami asked families to report missing person(s) 48 hours after noticing they cannot be found and or reached.

Ahead of the August 8 elections there have been several reports of politicians going missing. Other politicians reported missing include Kabete MP aspirant Charles Chege, Juja MCA aspirant Margaret Wanjiru and Rangwe MP aspirant Ezra Odhiambo.

With a week to the campaigns politicians have been trying to drum up as much support as possible and Kenyans have been asked to embrace peace during the election period.

One thing is for sure, the last thing this country needs is a repeat of the 2007-2008 post election violence.
