Patients in Kisii County are now using herbal medicine following the doctors strike that has now entered three months.
A number of people have erected posters in various parts of Kisii town asking people to try their services.
Kisii County traditional doctors chairman, Enock Nyakeruri said that a lot of patients visiting them was on the increase.
"Since the doctors strike the number of patients who visit me are many. Ihave treated malaria and typhoid patients, " he said.Ms Jane Mokeira, also a traditional healer said that she had treated a number of patients.She said that the patients were slowly gaining trust in her.
"For a long time, people had neglected us but am surprised how in the recent past the number of clients streaming in was high, " said Mrs Mokeira.
"I have treated a number of patients with sexually transmitted diseases andtyphoid, " she added.
