[Photo|@BD_Africa]All is set for the Supreme Court, to start a hearing on the presidential election petition, for the just concluded August 8 polls.This is after the National Super Alliance (Nasa) which is contesting the election results, filed the petition at the court, Friday at around 11pm, beating the midnight deadline.Presidential candidate Raila Odinga was accompanied by his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.Also present was Senior Counsel Siaya Senator James Orengo who among the legal team handling the petition, for Nasa. Orengo revealed that a total of 25 Nasa lawyers would be handling the case, which Odinga expressed optimism that his team would emerge victorious, basing on the kind of evidence Nasa had gathered.Addressing the press shortly after completing the filing, Orango who was also in charge of the Opposition's 2013 presidential election, said the petition 25,000 pages."90% of what we have is evidence. This petition is not going to be like any other petition. We have evidence to show that Jubilee took our win. Up to 25 lawyers will be handling this case," disclosed Orengo.

He noted that the evidence ranged from IEBC Forms 34As and 34Bs, and other electronic evidence."We have also compiled as evidence, what Msando was showing Kenyans on TV, the day before he went missing. He had already said, how the whole system was going to work," added Orengo.Chris Msando was the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), ICT Director, before he was abducted and murdered, eight days to the August 8 polls.On his part, Raila said Nasa had all the evidence to show the world that the presidential election was a sham, and that President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee government subverted the election in his favour.

Nasa should serve the IEBC through its chairman Wafula Chebukati, as well the Jubilee Party through its leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta, a notice of the petition, Sunday August 20. The two respondents would be required to file their responses in court by Thursday August 24.
