The two, Silas Tiren (Moiben) and Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills) content that the recent developments could be a wider scheme to thwart Ruto's plans to ascend to power.

"He (Ruto) seems to be unmoved when we are subjected to outright harassment. He should come out our else he will be blaming himself in 2022," said Tiren on Saturday.

While Tiren was ousted from chairmanship of Agriculture committee, a similar fate befell Keter, who was removed from Labour committee.

And on his arrest over forgery of Treasury Bills, Keter linked his tribulations to 'state house cartels' who hate the truth.

"Our friends wants us to keep quiet and this is not a good sign. Someone (Ruto) should now wake up and face this reality," he said at his backyard on Saturday.

The DP is keen to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 but the duo believe that there is a wide scheme by Central Kenya to frustrate Ruto's ambitions.
