Nandi Jubilee gubernatorial nominee Stephen Sang has unveiled Moi University lecturer Yulita Mitei as his running mate ahead of the August elections.

Mitei contested the Nandi County Jubilee gubernatorial primaries where Sang emerged victorious.

The duo on Thursday visited Catholic Diocese of Eldoret Bishop Cornelius Korir for prayers.

Speaking in Eldoret, Sang said his administration recognises the role played by women.

He said he chose to settle on Yulita because of her academic excellence and leadership skills exhibited in her different capacity at the University.

“For long women have been left in leadership though playing a critical role in the nation’s building.My administration will recognise their efforts,” he said.

Yulita a senior lecturerat Moi University was the chairperson of Disability Mainstreaming Programme at the University.
