Mong'are said the government had spent millions on an individual instead of addressing the problems facing Kenyans.

“How can the government spend over Sh300 million on one person yet Kenyans are dying because our doctors are not working,” he said.

He said that the government had misplaced priorities.

The  Nyamira Senator also accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing in his leadership.

“Uhuru is every new day proving that the presidential job is hard for him and that is why I want to send him home,” he said.

According to the lawmaker, CS Amina was not a suitable candidate for the AU top job claiming that Kenya had failed to address the war in Somalia.

He said Kenya should first put its house in order before thinking that it could lead other countries in Africa.

“The government was pushing for CS Amina to take over AU and further help in frustrating the International Criminal Court,” he added.

He lauded other East African countries for showing Kenya their back.

During the sixth voting, East African countries are claimed to have backstabbed Kenya’s candidate and voted for Chad’s Foreign Affairs minister Mousa Faki Mahamat.
