The students have been on strike for the last two weeks claiming that there is acute shortage of lecturers and inadequate lecture halls.

Kipsat directive sparked a lot of emotions deviating opinions regarding the notice.

“We will not give in to their empty threats. We have come a long way and it is until they hid to our demands when we will go back in class,” said Boniface Oduory, a third year medical student.

“Personally, I want to go back to class. But I cannot do that because the fourth years students have not been sorted out,” said Albert Gicheru, a second year medical student.

Martin Mugo a third year student urged other students to look for alternative way to deal with the issue since strike has failed.

The students were speaking during a meeting held at Maseno University School of Medicine and Nursing Association with both medical and nursing students deliberating on the issue.
