Growing up is a part of life we cannot ignore. We would like to live in a dream where choices have no consequences, where a crisis can be easily ignored and stress is quickly eliminated by a night out in town. Those are the campus days we wish would last forever. Unfortunately, we grow out of campus and into the real world where we have to face issues head on.

We learn to survive in tensed situations, learn to fight rather than run and take bold choices with results we can live with. Sometimes when having a bad day at work, one would think if this was campus, a lot of whiskey would come in handy but there's no way you are going to smell of alcohol at 11 a.m. on the morning at work. It breaks the code of ethics you signed to when you got the job.

The weekday’s party comes to a stop because you can’t wake up with a hangover and you have to report to work the next morning. At a certain age, there are certain dance moves we don't want to see you pull on the dance floor.

You are reduced to doing those moves in your room checking yourself out at the mirror to see that you still got it. The worst is the change in dressing. No more short dresses and skirts at the club.

With all these unfavourable changes that occur, growing up is fun. Age comes so much with wisdom and experience. You connect deeper with yourself and understand that help can only come from within. You become you own soul mate and best friend and more friendly with your body.

You just put enough effort for yourself and if someone doesn’t like it, they can kiss your back.
