Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina has promised to partner with Kiambu County government to rehabilitate alcohol and drug addicts as part of the war against illicit brews.
Wainaina has promised to work on a plan which will see his constituency get help from the county and national governments to identify and take drug addicts to rehab centers.
The MP notes that drug addicts are sick people who need special attention and the government should help them recover.
"We have so many drug addicts who need help because addiction is a disease.These people need treatment and that is why we as the national government will work closely with the county governments to ensure that all these addicts get the necessary assistance,” he said on Tuesday at Section Nine in Thika Town.
