NASA leader Raila Odinga was expected to deliver a major announcement to his supporters on his next move on Monday but it was not to be since it was postponed to Tuesday at 10 am.

According to political pundit, the postponement was a well-calculated move by NASA who were keen to await President Uhuru Kenyatta's acceptance speech after the IEBC declaration. So that they can sit with their lawyers and burn the midnight oil as they seek for a better response that will be in line with the Constitution by Tuesday morning.

From our analysis, Odinga will maintain his ground that he does not recognise Uhuru's win and would never take orders from the Head of State a narrative he has held to since his withdrawal from the race.

However, there may still be at least three cards Odinga can play with to maintain his relevance in Kenyan politics and his make true his dream of taking over the house on the hill.

First, Odinga can decide to seek the legal path by contesting Uhuru's win at the Supreme Court. He has seven days to submit a petition if he plans to do so.

Second, the opposition chief can resort to what he 'does best' that is rallying his supporters to peaceful picketing and demonstration because this is a right enshrined in the Constitution.

Finally, Odinga can choose to wait until Uhuru is sworn-in then call for a roundtable discussion, being that he has a following of at least 6.4 million voters going by the August 8 polls, he is a man who cannot be easily washed away.
