Former Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC Chief Executive Officer Charles Owiny has exuded confidence that the club will perform better next season.

Speaking during the official unveiling of the new players ahead of the 2018 season on Tuesday, Owiny said he was optimistic about better results, alluding to the new signings the club has made.

He further revealed that the club management will not put the new signings under pressure as they settle in.

“Welcome once more and good to have you all at Ruaraka. We are looking forward to interacting with you today and throughout the season. We have a new coach and new players on board so for us is to give them time to gel and for the coach ample time to build his team," he said.

"We are looking forward to a great season after luck was not on our side last season and preparations are already ongoing as you can see. We look forward to a great upcoming season," he added.

The Brewers acquired the services of up to eleven new players during the transfer window, including former Bandari star Edwin Lavatsa who has signed a two-year deal.

Othe are Bonaventure Khasabuli from Muhoroni Youth, Eric Ambumya from Kakamega Homeboyz and former Chemelil Sugar midfielder Apollo Otieno.

Tusker lost their title defense to Gor Mahia who were crowned the 2017 champions.
