Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi now claims that the win by Ojaamong' in Busia county nominations was predetermined by top ODM officials in the country.

According to the senator, the announcement that Ojamong had floored Funyula MP Paul Otuoma during the nomination despite the clear anomalies was a clear indication that Ojaamong' was set to fly the ODM flag no matter the circumstances.

"Political parties are private members clubs and this can be seen in ODM by what was witnessed in Busia nominations. The process clearly shows that there was already a predetermined winner of the ODM nomination for governor in Busia. With all the clear anomalies, still, the ODM officials announced the results of the nominations," he told NTV's AMLive on Tuesday.

"That tells you that was a decision of the party made before the nominations, the winner was already known to them and they were going to make sure it happened by all means," he added.

The Senator insisted that such undemocratic behaviour by ODM was on of the main reasons he has always distanced himself from the beliefs and ideals of the party and its leader Raila Odinga.

"This is why I have never believed in Raila and ODM party and everything they do,' he said.
